For this unique 70’s throwback stair, we crafted the solid white oak stringer and tread assembly in our shop. Though large, this piece was more akin to a piece of furniture than an installed stair.

14,000 lbs of steel, formed and fabricated in our Oregon shop, then cut in 3 sections for delivery and installation in San Diego. This curved stair is a sculptural statement piece in this custom home.

This staircase was fully designed and fabricated in our Oregon based workshop, and then meticulously disassembled and shipped to it’s final resting place in Malibu, California. In addition to the blackened steel and low-iron glass elements, we also developed in-house leather dies, stitching techniques and adhesives to install the handrail and tread wraps.

This custom wreathed staircase is fully free-standing, with attachment only at the main and upper floor of the primary structural stringer.
