This was an incredible project for us to be a part of.  The Henry Art Gallery in Seattle commissioned renowned artist James Turrell to create an exhibit to be a permanent fixture at the gallery.  His incredible work with light and color was to have a place the public could come and experience any time.  We were contacted by Krekow-Jennings, a company we have done many projects for over the years, to craft the wooden bench seating aspect of the exhibit.  We were able to design a 1:1 scale framework in our show to create each of the individually numbered slats to form the bench.  Because of the unique elliptical shape, as well as the slight angle of the back slats, each piece was tapered to keep the gap between them consistent around the structure.  If you are ever in the area, do not miss the chance to stop by and experience this amazing piece.
