The custom pivot door system includes a powder-coated steel jamb and window system, with an inward tilting sidelight to allow the breeze to flow through the home. The door itself features an aluminum and rigid insulation core, wrapped in a skin of blackened stainless steel, and with rift white oak panels on the interior face. The handle is a machined precise work of beauty, with an integrated latch actuating the custom deep-offset cassette. The 600 lb finished weight required the use of a Fritsjurgens System M+ pivot to provide the dampened self-closing for safety. We also worked to integrate a deadbolt locking system with the high-tech security system.
