A simple, Japanese-inspired footbridge designed to tie two parts of the clients’ property together in a useful and beautiful way. We used all northwest woods for the construction, with fabricated steel railings and Western Red Cedar for the bench seats and top rail. If you look closely, you will notice that the arch of the rail carries across the back of the bench, rather than going horizontal. This detail keeps the curve of the structure smooth all the way across the span to your eye.
