This project exercised the maximum of out metal and woodworking abilities. The client was tired of the constant repair needed for their existing wood doors and wanted something a bit more artistic that allowed light to pass into the entryway. We custom made this pair of doors with an engineered core, Old-growth fir interior faces, bronze exterior faces, and custom insulated glass windows. The waxed, antiqued bronze finish was matched to the existing cast door hardware, and extends to the machined astragal and threshold. The window grills were also custom made from solid bronze, with a design to emulate other southwest-inspired features in the home. Once the doors were complete we were able to install with minimal invasion into the home. We removed the old doors and had the new ones installed within one week.
